Epicat. Rene Marques 'Tyler' AM/AOS
(Epi. pseudepidendrum x C. Claesiana)
What a fascinating cross to yield these results! Apple green petals and sunny yellow lip coloring all topped with dashes of bold purple on the column. A true 'tricolor' bloom on an easy to grow plant. This Epicattleya has slender foliage with numerous pairs of leaves on each growth. Bloom stems emerge from the top of the most recent pseudobulb and can produce more buds once the initial burst of blooms has completed.
Growing Suggestions: We recommend this for those with growing conditions for Standard Cattleyas. This means you will need rather bright, indirect light such as a greenhouse or sunroom. Water when the media approaches the dry point, and fertilizer is needed no more than once per month. Good airflow will keep the tender foliage from showing bacterial spotting. Extremely warmth tolerant.
We have Near Blooming Size mericlones in 2.5" pots. We expect these to bloom within 12-18 months though some may flower sooner.
These beautiful plants were provided by our friends at a wholesale orchid nursery in Hawaii. Because we did not raise them in our greenhouses, we can not guarantee them to be virus free as we would our own lab grown material. Otherwise, we guarantee your satisfaction and safe delivery as with other plant purchases.
