Native to Brazil and a miniature member of the Cattleya family. Small terete foliage becomes pendant as the plant matures. Interestingly, the seedpods are used as a vanilla substitute in Brazil and Paraguay. Blooms are white with bright pink tubular lips and appear in small clusters in the spring.
This species does very well attached to suitable wooden mounts and can be cultivated in a greenhouse year round or outdoors in the summer months.
We have a Limited number of seedlings available, all growing on crepe myrtle mounts. Plants are flowering size and expect to bloom within 6-12 months.
