Paphiopedilum Pinocchio
(primulinum x moquettianum) and reverse
This famous hybrid is our top-selling ladyslipper, no question. Solid green, slightly rippled foliage that grows well and cleanly. Plants produce sequential bloom stems with spring green, lavender and pale yellow flowers. Sequential stems are those that produce flowers and buds, one after the other for months or even longer. This on-going show will bring you endless joy! Very easy to grow in home conditions.
Growing Suggestions: This is a wonderful selection for growers new to Ladyslippers. If you have success with standard Phalaenopsis, than these are a great next step. Paphiopedilums like this will grow in the same light and temperatures as most Phalaenopsis. We do water more frequently than Phalaenopsis, not allowing the roots to stay dry for more than a day at most. (That does not mean boggy roots or saucers of water). Paphiopedilums should be grow in snug fitting plastic pots, with drainage at the bottom of the pots. We do not suggest clay or glazed pottery, or any sort of plastic/mesh basket.
New crop of plants growing in 4" pots. Plants are near blooming size and expected to flower within 18-24 months. They are recently established and should not be repotted before next spring.
