Blc. Keowee 'Mendenhall' AM/AOS
(Lc. Lorraine Shirai x B. nodosa)
This virus-free clone has been customer favorite for over forty years and it is easy to see why! Awarded in 1975. Plants are very vigorous with thick green foliage. These will easily produce multiple leads and become beautiful specimen plants over time. Flowers appear two per stem with bright yellow petals and bold red lip coloring. The spots on the lip is a trait inherited from its nodosa parentage.
Growing Suggestions- These will need Standard cattleya conditions meaning bright, indirect light and a temperature range of 65°-85°. Water when media has become dry and do not allow roots to stay in water. As plants grow out of their current pots, they can be moved in hanging baskets or containers.
The mericlone plant offered is near flowering size in a 4" pot.
