Brassocattleya (Brassanthe) Maikai
(Brassavola nodosa x Cattilanthe bowringiana var. coerulea)
This remake was made using interesting parents. We expect these to be lavender and dark pink with even darker freckles. (You should not expect coerulea or 'blue' forms to appear in these seedlings). Husky plants and this cross is excellent for mounts or baskets. This hybrid is well-known for becoming gorgeous specimen plants and is highly recommended for southern growers.
Seedlings will require bright, indirect light to grow and flower well. Conditions for average standard cattleyas will work well.
Near blooming size plants growing in 4" pots. (These plants are expected to flower within 12-18 months, in season.)
