Ctna. Why Not 'Red' x self
(Cattleya aurantiaca x Broughtonia sanguinea)
(Photo shows 'Red Gold' cultivar. These are seedlings so exact markings will vary).
This cross is world famous for its bright colors and tidy toliage. Plants are very compact with a love for bright, indirect light and warm temperatures. Upright stems will hold clusters of bright red blooms with varying amounts of gold in the center. Suitable for basket or mount culture but will also do just fine in a well-draining pot. Mature plants are usually 6"-8" tall, excluding bloom stems.
Growing Suggestions: Best suited for a well lit growing space like a greenhouse, sunroom or east facing bay window. Can tolerate a range of temperatures from 60°-90° with adequate airflow. Like most Cattleya alliance, water when media has reached dryness and fertilize approximately once per month.
We are offering beautiful Blooming Size plants in 2.5" pots. Plants are large enough to flower within 6-12 months, or sooner.
These beautiful plants were provided by our friends at a wholesale orchid nursery in Hawaii. Because we did not raise them in our greenhouses, we can not guarantee them to be virus free as we would our own lab grown material. Otherwise, we guarantee your satisfaction and safe delivery as with other plant purchases.
