Cym. Milton Carpenter 'Everglades Gold' AM/AOS
(Cym. Golden Elf x Cym. Via Ambarino)
Milton Carpenter of Everglades Orchids considers this one of his very best warmth tolerant cymbidiums. Despite the modest flower size of its parent plant Cymbidium Golden Elf, the 'Everglades Gold' clone goes all out with large, showy blooms in the late fall and early winter. The yellow and red flowers are very long-lasting with heavy substance.
Care Instructions- Like most Cymbidiums this one needs bright, indirect light such as a sunroom, greenhouse or outdoor growing space and lots of airflow to help keep the foliage happy and spot free. This plant is large growing with long foliage that will need space to spread out. We suggest cultivating these plants in a temperature range of approximately 55°-85°. These will not need a severe chill in order to produce bloom stems but temperatures will need to reach mid to upper fifties.
We are offering virus-free plants growing well in 4" pots. These are expected to flower anytime in the coming 6-12 months and are ready to be potted into larger containers after they bloom.
