This easy growing yet unusual species is one of the Antelope Dendrobiums and is a great beginner selection. Not commonly seen , this is a very rewarding selection that starts flowering as young plants. Sprays of pale blooms with green upright petals and purple veining on the lip. Blooming season is generally spring and summer but we have seen spikes emerge anytime of year. Plants stay compact and grow quickly, with lush foliage that is evergreen year round.
Growing Suggestions: Dendrobium antennatum loves warm and bright conditions but still tolerates cooler winter months. Bright, indirect light is best even when seedlings are young as it promotes strong stems and sturdier foliage. Water as media approaches dryness, and misting in spring and summer months is appreciated. During cooler months, reduce water but do not allow to go dry for long spells.
We are offering these as Blooming Size plants established in 3" pots. Plants are happy in a coarse fir bark based media, and should not be disturbed or repotted again anytime soon. Plants are expected to flower anytime in the coming six to twelve months.
