Maidenhair Fern 'Fritz Luthii'
Fritz Luthii is somewhat compact and fills out 4" and 6" pots perfectly. The interesting trait about this variety is the black stems are more visible due to the positioning of the fronds on the upper side. It makes the foliage look like it is emerging upside down from the crown. Very Cool! Most maidenhair ferns like higher soil PH so we have found that adding lime to the soil when repotting or transplanting is especially beneficial.
Care Suggestions: Keep soil moist at all times to avoid browning and cultivate in low-medium light. Fertilize lightly once per month. Generally prefers temperatures of 55 or above but can tolerate short dips in the 40"s without damage.
We have a nice crop growing in 4" pots. Foliage is full and lush.
