This is easy to grow, but will take a fair amount of space as they mature into larger containers. Tall bloom stems of bold raspberry-red flowers, showing trumpet shaped lips. Each inflorescence can carry a dozen or more blooms, which makes a mature plant quite an impressive specimen! \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGrowing Suggestions:\u003c\/strong\u003e Since both parents are semi-terrestrial we recommend a media that stays evenly moist but allows air to circulate around the roots. A sphagnum moss mix will work well, or a 'dirt-less' media for terrestrial orchids can also be appropriate. Water when media is just lightly dry but never keep the roots soggy or allow them to sit in water. Fertilize frequently at half strength throughout the growing season, and very little to not at all during the fall and winter. These plants will store food easily in their pseudobulbs which they use throughout the cooler months. Medium to semi-bright light is best, but if light is too bright foliage will burn easily. While plants take a range of temperatures, warm winter temperatures will help prevent spotting on the foliage. \u003cem\u003e(Please remember that one parent of these is deciduous which means they will drop some older leaves in colder months.
