Blc. Newberry Bronze Butterfly*
(Blc. Carolina Orange d'or 'Lenette' x Cattleya porphyroglossa)
(photos show the parents used in this cross)
This cross is a bit off the beaten path and we finally have a good number of them on hand. We are hoping for genius from our madness here. The first parent is a bifoliate grower with waxy, orange blooms that last for weeks. The second is a rare species with a glossy texture and high flower count. Both are vigorous growers which has obviously been passed along the seedlings. The reports of the first seedlings to bloom were on young plants and they had glossy bronze and orange blooms.
Plants are established in 2.5" pots.
