Brassocattleya Taiwan Mermaid 'STK'
(Bc. Maikai x C. Thospol Spot)
We are so excited about this amazing clone. The first time we saw one of these flower, we were in love. Intense fuchsia-pink blooms with darker freckles. Enough Brassavola nodosa influence to make this a bodacious grower and easy to flower.
Growing Suggestions: Best suited for a well lit growing space like a greenhouse, sunroom or east facing bay window. Grow lights on the brighter side would also work well. Can tolerate a range of temperatures from 60°-90° with adequate airflow. Like most Cattleya alliance, water when media has reached dryness and fertilize approximately once per month.
Want to Grow a Plant like the one pictured? Step One, buy one of these gorgeous overgrown plants. Step Two, run to Dollar Tree and get a 8" wire basket. Step Three, loosen the roots and remove any decaying media. Step Four, add plant to basket and fill around with rinsed red lava rock from Lowe's. The big chunky pieces are best. Add hanger and Voila! We watered it very often while the plant was getting established, the rocks do not hold much moisture. The plant pictured has only been in this basket for 15 months!
We are offering beautiful Blooming Size plants in 2.5" pots. Plants are large enough to flower within 6-12 months, or sooner. These plants are jumbo sized in their containers, be ready to repot upon arrival!
These beautiful plants were provided by our friends at a wholesale orchid nursery in Hawaii. Because we did not raise them in our greenhouses, we can not guarantee them to be virus free as we would our own lab grown material. Otherwise, we guarantee your satisfaction and safe delivery as with other plant purchases.
