Cycnoches Grinch's Gold
(Photo shown courtesy of Hilo Orchid Farm)
This is a brand new cross from Hawaii and we can't wait to see some blooms in person! Varying shades of gold to tan, most showing darker markings. Flower count should be high, especially on mature plants. Thin foliage on fat pseudobulbs. These are seed-grown and coloring will vary by plant.
Growing Suggestions- Plants are deciduous, usually dropping their foliage in late fall with new leaves to follow in the spring. As with most plants of this kind, some lower/older leaf drop is normal at other times when season or growing conditions change. Water and fertilize regularly during the warm growing months, but reduce water and hold food during the fall and winter when plants are dormant.
We are offering Blooming Size plants outgrowing 2.5" pots. Many are showing spikes to bloom soon. Expect some yellow leaves upon arrival as plants are preparing to transition into dormancy. This is normal.
These beautiful plants were provided by our friends at a wholesale orchid nursery in Hawaii. Because we did not raise them in our greenhouses, we can not guarantee them to be virus free as we would our own lab grown material. Otherwise, we guarantee your satisfaction and safe delivery as with other plant purchases.
