Ascocentrum christensonianum
Technically this is now Vanda christensoniana. We still use the old name, since the genus Ascocentrum still brings to mind small, cute species and hybrids. This is a true miniature, that blooms on very small plants and then fills out with time. Mature size is usually no more than about 8" tall. Flowers are pale pink and and just over 1 cm across. Clusters of blooms emerge from the stem in late spring. Grow in medium to bright light levels, with a minimum of 65° F. They will do fine in small pots or baskets, as long as they get plenty of misting and high humidity.
Plants available in 2.5" pots. These are flowering size and most should bloom for the first time next year.
