Sedirea japonica x self
Photo shows the parent plant for this cross.
This adorable miniature is always very popular. Related to Vandas (Sedirea is Aerides spelled backwards), we grow this similar to many smaller Phalaenopsis. Medium to bright indirect light, with high humidity and good air flow. Keep some moisture around the roots at all times, whether grown potted or on a mount. Bloom stems emerge in the late spring and have a cascade of small waxy cream to green blooms with purple barring on the lower petals. The fragrance is like a burst of bright lemon candy.
**We have the best luck with mature plants that are grown on a mound of sphagnum moss, in a tight clay pot. Similar to traditional Neofinetia potting. **
SKU: 10874/Flask
We are offering a few flasks ready to be planted into community pots now. Yield will be approximately 20-25 plants in each. This is a plastic flask, and will be shipped intact.
A Reminder: Orchids in this category are NOT in pots, or anywhere near flowering size. These are for commercial or hobby growers that have the time and patience to start babies from this earliest phase.
